Relationship with fellow fader?
by Kool Jo ini'm just curious....what would be the pros and cons of dating or even marrying someone who is fading or fully aware of ttatt?.
although i'm not in this situation, i've always wondered about it...for example...you're reaching near that age, your parents, friends, family members, others in the congregation are giving you hints that it's time for you to get married...you don't wanna marry anyone that the congregation/parents recommend because they're fully indoctrinated, so you make up some excuse that you're not ready blah blah blah, even though you long for companionship....you then meet a fader or someone who knows that the wtbs in crap...what would be the pros and the cons...and could it work?.
peace.

hey folks...had a skype conversation with my parents (hard-core, extremist jws)...and the cult still has a tight grip on them....like others on here, youre perhaps just watching your parents, growing older, giving to the cult more and more....with nothing in return.. they were happy to tell me how theyre enjoying their new bibles and how this provision is fantastic and show jehovahs blessings blah blah blah.. we then spoke about how their congregation will be getting a new khall, although many persons in the congregation didnt agree with its location.

I need some assistance!
by Kool Jo ini just found out that a co-worker of mine is a ex-jw....she's being pressured to go back to the khall...she says everytime she goes to visit her family, they're telling her how jehovah still loves her...blah blah blah...thankfully she has her own apartment!.
i do see how her upbringing in the cult has affected her...she's soft and overly kind, but she's a real sweetheart...the down side: people take advantage of her.. should i tell her that i too am a jw and understands what she's going through with her family or should i just tell her that "spirituality is a personal thing and don't feel guilted into doing something you don't want" ect....the thing is, she talks alot and if i tell her that i'm suppose to be a jw, then the entire workplace will know.... what should i do?
my only aim is to have her not feel guilted in going back...she said her family has been trying to get her back in, but she's resisting it...the other issue, her son stays with her jw sister (she didn't disclose why)...and my co-worker tells me that her son is becoming a "jw convert".. please i need some advice!.

Error:Last Reply
by Kool Jo ingood day...is anyone else here having this problem:.
when you click on the page (ex 10315) it shows you the last time someone replied to it, for example 10 minutes ago, 2 days ago ect...i noticed that it's not being listed in order as of yesturday.. i'll look on a current page, and it'll say "last reply 2 hours ago", then i go an older page and it'll say "last reply 5 minutes ago"...it's odd, so it means i have to go back a page or two in order to see when a thread was last updated.... just wondering if anyone else has this issue?.

Feelings after baptism
by Kool Jo inso for those who got baptized....a question for you:.
did you feel any different?
in the talk prior to taking the plunge, we were told that baptism would would show that we're in subjection to jehovah, so that we could do his will...personally, i felt that somehow i'd have a greater urge to do more spiritually, but i didn't..the feeling wore off in a couple days, and i still had the desire to do college ect...my attitude about life didn't change.... how did ya'll feel after your baptism in the borg?.

Obama - Peace & Security?
by Kool Jo inin one of the congregations that i attended some years ago, there was much talk that obama could be one to initiate the "peace and security" cry that borg teaches about...the brothers who speculated about this were convinced because obama was a well-liked guy...persons from all over the world seemed to have quite a bit of respect for him...hence they thought he'd be the one...obama is now in his second term, and no "peace and security"...did anyone in your congregation/area had this same view?.

Post New Light Magazine
by Kool Jo inso it seems that most persons just swallowed the'new-light' that was discussed over the weekend...the couple of persons whom i spoke to about it, responded this way:.
"we're grateful for these adjustments"..i mentioned to her that these are some huge changes and you can expect more in upcoming years...to which she replied "we can expect these things in the last days, besides, these aren't changes, they're just minor adjustments"...yup...it was a wtf moment for me...so adjustments and changes are words with totally different meanings.. 2.
"i'm so confused kool jo, do you want us to discuss it together, i really thought this is what we had always beleived in"...i said we can discuss it at a later time...quite interesting stuff.. 3.
